Large format tiling
Large format porcelain and slabs. Clean lines and considered joints across walls and floors.

The ONYX approach
A larger surface asks for closer attention
Larger tiles can give a room a calm, continuous feel. Achieving that starts with a flat, properly prepared substrate and a layout that considers the whole surface.
We plan handling, cuts and joint positions before fixing. Attention to adhesive coverage and the relationship between adjoining tiles helps bring the installation together.
From uninterrupted floor layouts to shower walls and mitred details, the size of the material informs every stage of the work.

Can large tiles work in a small bathroom?
They can. What matters is how the tile dimensions relate to the room, fittings and openings. Planning the cuts and joints on an elevation helps show whether the larger format works in your particular space.
Does a larger tile mean a quicker installation?
Not necessarily. Surface preparation, access, handling and detailed cuts can take more time. The number of tiles alone does not tell you how involved the installation will be.
Can large tiles be laid without grout joints?
The joint layout and widths need to suit the tile and installation system. A continuous appearance still needs considered joints and appropriate movement provision. We plan these details before fixing.
