A little about us

Good work starts
before the first tile.

A bathroom should feel at home in the building around it. The proportions, materials and smaller details all contribute to that feeling.

At ONYX, we take time with the parts that make the finished room work. Where a joint meets a niche. How the cuts sit around a window. The way one surface meets the next.

Our work covers specialist tiling, bespoke bathrooms, natural stone and large format installations. We work with private homeowners, interior designers, developers and other trades, bringing the same attention to preparation and finishing across each project.

How we approach the work

Three things
we give time to.

01 / Preparation

What sits beneath.

Understanding the substrate, the room and the installation system before the visible work begins.

02 / Setting out

Where the lines fall.

Considering tile proportions, balanced cuts and adjoining surfaces together, before fixing the first piece.

03 / Finishing

How it comes together.

Giving joints, mitred corners and exposed edges the attention that makes the room feel complete.

The work in between

The finished room
is only part of the story.

Preparation, setting out and finishing all shape the completed room. We consider how the surfaces, fittings and smaller details will work together before the first tile is fixed.

Our Ilkley base takes us across Yorkshire. You can see the areas we cover and the information that helps us understand a project before the first conversation.
